Belize Mexicana Masters - Aug 23rd 2012

The Belize Amateur Golf Association hosted its Mexicana Masters Tournament in Cozumel, Mexico. It was a great weekend with lots of golf and fun for all the players and families.

The results are :

• Fridays Stableford : 1st - Duane Arnold, 2nd - Lucas Hunt, 3rd - Michael Marot. 
• Saturdays Stroke Play : 1st – Lucas Hunt, 2nd – Andy Hunt, 3rd – Robert Lee. 
• Sundays Scramble : 1st – Duane Arnold/Steve Hack, 2nd – Paul Martin/Steve Maestre. 
•  3 Day Champion – 1st, Duane Arnold, 2nd – Andy Hunt, 3rd – Michael Marot. 
• Best Shots of the Tournament – Michael Marot and Paul Martin 
• Worse Shots of the Tournament – Paul Martin/Steve Maestre, Hank Weiss 
• Highest Score on a hole – Slavek Machacka (12), Mickey Thornton(10). 
• Biggest Choke – Alan Graham Best Comeback – John Sansone 
• Sandbagger – Steve Hack 
• Worse 2 Man Scramble Team - Robert Lee/Lucas Hunt
• 3 Day Tournament Donkey – Sam Mathias.

Our 8th Tournament of the year took place on 18th August.

We had a great turn out and would like to welcome our 3 new members, Michael Marot, Slavek Machcacka and Ray Garbutt Jr.

Mexicana Masters Golf Tournament - Aug 24th - Cozumel Country Club

Our Mexicana Masters Golf Tournament is approaching soon.

There are free NIKE golf clubs if you do not wish to bring your own clubs. Plus you can play ALL Day (If the wife or husband lets you :-) for the cost of the cart fee.

The format for the 3 day tournament is :

Thursday Aug 23rd :

• Arrival and practice day

Friday Aug 24th :

• 8.30am tee time.
• Stableford Format using our existing BAGA HDCPS. Prize for winner.
• Plus $$ Side Pot for most Stableford Points on front 9, back 9, 18 hole total, skins.
• Evening Texas Hold Em Poker Tournament for anyone interested.

Saturday Aug 25th :

• 8.30am tee time.
  
• Stroke Play format. HDCPS WILL BE ADJUSTED BASED ON FRIDAY SCORES. Prize for winner.
• Plus $$ Side Pot for lowest net front 9, back 9, 18 hole total, birdies.
• Evening Texas Hold Em Poker Tournament for anyone interested.

Sunday Aug 26th :

• 8.30am tee time.
• 2 Man Scramble format. HDCPS WILL BE ADJUSTED AGAIN BASED ON SATURDAY SCORES. Prize for 2 winners.
• Plus $$ Side Pot for lowest Team Net front 9, back 9, 18 hole total, skins.
• Evening Texas Hold Em Poker Tournament for anyone interested.

There will be an overall prize for the player who gets the best score over the 3 day tournament.
