Belize Golf Tournaments - Presidents Invitational - Oct 5th 2013

Dear Golfers,

Below are the results of the Presidents Invitational in our Las Vegas Scramble, Belizean Style.

Welcome to our 2 newest members, Doug Zimmerman an Bill Holbert. 43 members now make up the Belize Amateur Golf Association and we look forward to welcoming more. 

Don't forget our next tournament is Saturday, 19th October at Roaring River and we are also heading out to Caye Chapel Golf Course, off the coast of Belize on Sunday 27th October, with another trip planned for November 17th. Contact us if you would like to come along as we need to organize transport.

1st - Steve Hack and Jan Bartak - 341 points.
2nd - Steve Maestre and Bill Holbert - 370.5 points
3rd - John Sansone and Deacon Cal - 382 points
4th - Lorenzo Forbes and Ray Garbutt Sr - 404 points
5th - Sam Mathias and Boris Vostry - 412.5 points.
6th - Andy Hunt and Doug Zimmerman - 427 points.
7th - Alan Graham and Geoff Hatto-Hembling - 439.5 points
8th - Paul Martin and Tony Zabaneh - 448.5 points.

• Closest to Pin : Steve Hack
• Longest Putts : Geoff Hatto Hembling and Deacon Cal
• Longest Drive : Steve Maestre.
• Any 2 : Bill Holbert and Steve Hack.

The tournament also carried points towards the player of the year trophy. With just 4 tournaments to go, the top spots are getting very tight.

Presidents Invitational Golf Tournament - 6th October 2012

The First Presidents Invitational Golf Tournament took place on 6th October at the Roaring River Golf Course. The format of the Presidents Invitational will be at the discretion of the current serving BAGA president and will now be a part of our yearly Tournament schedule which includes :

• Corkers World Cup
• RF&G Insurance Belize Amateur Open - 2 Day Tournament
• Mexicana Masters - 4 Day Tournament
• Roaring River Xmas Golf Tournament
• BAGA Presidents Invitational
• BAGA Match Play
• Belize Jungle Dome 2 Person Scramble
• BAGA 12 Monthly Tournaments

We encourage you all to come out and support these events so that we can continue to grow.

Welcome to Jan Bartak our newest member.

We would like to thank all the players who attended and put on a fine display of pairs golf. The scoring was excellent and the format of 2 person best ball,  mulligans and limited drives stretched the teams skills and tactics.
